Dear Friends,
It's so nice to speak to you again. As I'm writing this, the
weather is still wintery but spring is on the way (or so they
say.) The Friends have been very busy. At our spring meeting
we discussed many plans for fund raising.
First of all, we have a special treat this year, a gorgeous
quilt that we will be raffling. Made and graciously donated
by local quilting expert Diana Napier, it features a "butterflies
and books" theme and lovely colors that would complement
any room. But don't just take my word for it- come into the
library this summer and see for yourself! The raffle will begin
on Saturday, May 28, the date of our annual Book Sale, from
9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Come in and get your summer reading --
and your raffle tickets - all at the same time!

On that note, please bring your book donations into
the library now for our book sale in May. Children's books are especially
appreciated.
You may have noticed that the tulips and spring bulbs
are up and blossoming in the flower garden. Later this spring we will
be planting petunias and other annuals. We are always looking for
help with planting and weeding. There are no special days or times
for weeding - if you have time to spare, come on out. Most of the
work so far has been done by Janie and Stan LaPacz, but there is a
big area
to care for and they can use the help.
We will be having our annual meeting at the library
on June 11, 2005. The meeting will begin at 11:00 am. We would really
like to have a good turnout for this meeting. We are always looking
for new ideas and creative participation.
The Friends wish you a safe and healthy summer. Keep
in mind the craft sale in November.
We are enclosing in your newsletter two books of raffle
tickets. We hope you will purchase these tickets or sell them and
return the stubs and money to Janie LaPacz at the library. If you
do not sell the tickets, please return them so we can sell them. Thank
you for your support in this fund raiser.

older brothers and sisters do their projects!

Meet Teresa
Teresa L. Scott is our new employee at the library. She grew
up in Milwaukee and has been living in northern California for
the past twenty years. She is back in Wisconsin to semi-retire
and be closer to her family.
Teresa is very knowledgeable about computers and enjoys helping
answer patrons' questions.
Besides working at the library, Teresa enjoys reading and gardening
through the spring and summer when the weather permits. She
and her husband, Dave, enjoy fishing (as long as Dave puts the
worm on the hook.)
Teresa enjoys working at the library and meeting new people
in the community. Stop in the library and say hello!
New DVDs & Videos at the Library
The library has added many DVDs to the collection. They are
