Are you interested in what the next five years of LSTA funding looks like for youth services in Wisconsin? Take part in an online listening session onTuesday, May 2nd from 1:00-2:00pm (save the date, link TBD). Recent projects have included Growing Wisconsin Readers, the Youth Services Institute, the Coding Initiative, and Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) statewide membership and manuals.
While we do not yet know what federal funding will looking like for IMLS and LSTA, we are hopeful. Therefore, we are moving forward with planning for the future and your input matters.
The Division for Libraries & Technology at the Department of Public Instruction will soon be submitting the LSTA Five-Year Plan for Wisconsin, 2018-2022. Youth and Inclusive Services is one of the major goal areas for the new plan, and you are invited to help shape this focus. The listening sessions are being hosted by Karen Rose from Library Strategies, In order to maintain impartiality, the Division staff will not participate in the sessions; Karen and her colleagues will be the facilitators. The purpose of the listening sessions is to frame the major topics for the participants and solicit feedback on the broad topics, all of which fall within the LSTA purposes.
You are welcome to join any of the listening sessions. A link to the later sessions will be shared closer to the date.
