- Reach Out and Read Initiative
Since January of 2015, the Appleton Public Library has been busy promoting the Reach Out and Read program throughout the Fox Cities. ROR is an evidence-based, non-profit organization of medical providers who promote pre-literacy and school readiness in exam rooms nationwide by giving new books to children and advising parents about the importance of reading aloud. Promoting this innovative early literacy program has been made possible due to a generous grant from the United Way Fox Cities.
