— Children's Programs —

– Preschool Storytime –
Preschool storytime is held every Friday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
All preschool-age children are welcome!
– Leola McKee Books & Bears Program –
In early September 2007, we received a call from Leola's family in Florida asking about our library and the programs we currently offer. They were looking for a way to commemorate Leola's 100th birthday that would have special meaning to her because she loved the library so much. After careful thought and consideration and because of a generous donation made by her family, we have established this program in Leola's name to recognize emerging readers in our school district.

On September 28, 2007 we made our first-ever presentation of books & bears in the presence of Leola's family. A presentation is done on an annual basis.
– Summer Reading Program –
We offer a Summer Reading Program centered around a theme with sessions
that include fun for many ages.

– Halloween Happenings –
Each October area school-age children in Kindergarten through 4th grades are invited to attend
our Halloween Happening costume party at the library. Activities include a costume parade
and judging, games, crafts, snacks and Halloween stories.

– Santa Visit –
Ho, ho, ho! You don't want to miss a visit with this jolly ol' elf! Santa makes his
annual stop at the library to visit with his fans and hand out a special treat.

Today you are you, that is truer than true.
There is no one alive who is youer than you.
