“Brown County on the Go” Connecting the County through Collaboration

​The Brown County Library’s Bookmobile is teaming up with fellow county departments this summer and is hitting the road! The Neville Public Museum, Aging Disability and Resource Center (ADRC) and Extension Brown County will be traveling to Bookmobile stops so residents can learn about available programs and services, participate in a program, listen to a presentation, ask questions and get answers!
 
A news conference introducing, “Brown County on the Go,” will take place at the Brown County Central Library, 515 Pine Street, downtown Green Bay, on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:15 am.  Weather permitting, the event will take place in front of the library on the Pine Street plaza. The event will move indoors if necessary.
Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach will speak and offer insight on this initiative and how it, “allows various Brown County Departments to efficiently engage with residents and deliver important services to them in a more convenient manner.”  Representatives of the partnering departments will also speak.
 
Residents are encouraged to attend these free, Brown County on the Go events:

Brown County on the Go with the ADRC & FREE Brain Check-Ups! Is it Normal Aging…or Something Else? A brain check-up is a wellness tool that helps identify possible changes in memory and cognition.  This tool creates a baseline of where you are right now, plus allows you to monitor future changes.  Early detection is important. Appointments are suggested but not required.  Contact ADRC at 920-448-4300 for more details.  An Assistive Technology Demo explores the pros and cons of different types of adaptive aids that make everyday tasks easier.

  • Brown County on the Go with the Neville Public Museum - Birds!  Experience the Neville’s diverse collection of all things birds.  Learn about taxidermy and artwork from the last century and discover how birds live, impact the environment, and inspire us.

  • Brown County on the Go with Extension Brown County Enjoy hands-on activities related to healthy eating. Learn about Extension Brown County’s new name, new logo and new location!
  
August 21
  • Brown County on the Go with the Neville Public Museum – Parkaeology. Curious about archaeology? Learn about the Neville’s Parkaeology program developed in partnership with Brown County Parks.
  • Brown County on the Go with the ADRC Learn how the ADRC can help you prioritize evolving needs and navigate community supports.   An Assistive Technology Demo explores the pros and cons of different types of adaptive aids that make everyday tasks easier.
