The Oneida Library is hiring a full-time Library Services Associate. If you enjoy running programs, doing outreach, and helping others with technology and want to work at a library, this call is for you.

Position Summary: Under direct supervision of the Library Manager, this position is responsible for implementing children programs for the Summer Reading Program, After School Program and tutoring program. Work flexible hours to include evening and weekends as requested. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.

Preferred Qualifications (Applicants please clearly state on the application/resume if you meet these qualifications.):

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Communications, Human Development, Psychology, Sociology, Native American Studies, Social Work or closely related field.
2. Managing social media pages.

Minimum Qualifications (Applicants please clearly state how you meet these qualifications on the application/resume.):

1. Associate degree in Library Studies, Education, Communications, Human Development, Psychology, Sociology, Native American Studies, Social Work or closely related field.
2. One (1) year of experience working in a library, classroom setting or public program planning.
3. Two (2) years customer service and computer experience with knowledge of databases and the internet; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
4. Experience using social media technology.
5. Knowledge of smartphones laptops and tablets.
