Strategies for Working with Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
90-minute workshop, Wednesday, September 11, 2019, 1:30 Central

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is one of the most commonly diagnosed developmental disabilities, and the number of children identified on the spectrum continues to grow. Working with children with ASD is a crucial skill in today’s public library environment.

Designed to help library staff understand a sensitive area and address the questions of those who are already aware of the issue, this webinar explores some basic strategies for working with children on the autism spectrum. ALA Publishing, in partnership with Mobile Therapy Centers, provides you with the background information you need to better serve children with ASD.
