I am writing to let you know that Wisconsin Water Library at UW-Madison has developed a couple of water-related STEM kits for checkout by youth services librarians around Wisconsin. I have had the pleasure of visiting some of your libraries around the state to present my STEM and literacy programming on water over the past few years. These kits are an outgrowth of those story times.
The kits contains read aloud books, science activities, craft and song ideas. They are aimed at children ages 3 through 9 in informal education settings (especially in libraries). I have five kits of two themes so far:
Jump around with frogs! (Includes activities related to Wisconsin native frogs and toad) – call no. 281681
Does it sink or float? (Boats and boating and buoyancy) – call no. 232434
If you are interested in checking them out, I can send them to you via the Library Delivery Network. Just complete this form here and request by title and call no.
Thanks for your interest and let me know if you have any questions!! I will try to answer them.
