Learn how to adapt genre systems to fit your community needs as quickly and inexpensively as possible. This presentation will include an overview of "Dewey Lite" and Metis, how to adapt these systems to fit your needs, and a full cost of the transition process. Jessica will discuss how her library implemented their own blend of hybrid systems for its youth collections and BISAC for its adult collections. 1 CE Credit
Managing Employee Performance; or, How to Boss Your Friends Around (web)

This presentation will focus on managing employees in a small or medium library where relationships are often close. The objective will be to give people a good strategy for dealing with the tough conversations that they may have to have with people who are friends or maybe even family. The session will feature tips and tricks for managing performance and will allow attendees to share their own experiences and role play to practice some of the real world situations that they might encounter.
