Abraham Lincoln by Kevin Wood: Virtual Visits Available

9/30/2020

The following information was provided to NFLS by Kevin Wood aka “Mr. Lincoln”:
"I am “Mr. Lincoln”, a professional first-person historical presenter of our nation’s 16th President based in the Chicago area, with a very strong resemblance to Mr. Lincoln and a very extensive knowledge of his life and times.

This is to let you know that I now offer programs via various forms of virtual programming (in addition to old-fashioned in-person programming!):

  •  video conferencing via Zoom;
  • live-streaming via Facebook Live or YouTube Live; and
  • pre-recorded videos available online via YouTube.

Note that when I do a “live” virtual program, I also authorize the recording of it so that it can be made available online for a period of one week; pre-recorded videos likewise may be made available for one week.

In the past four months, I have already done 45 virtual programs for libraries, senior residences, and schools; this includes five libraries and four schools in Wisconsin.

I can even give you a discount!  My normal fee for in-house programs is $250 plus travel expenses, but my current introductory fee for virtual programs is only $200 if “live” (video conferencing or live-streaming) or $150 if pre-recorded.

I can do any of my 14 regular adult/general audience programs (see descriptions) virtually:

  • “Abraham Lincoln: A New Birth of Freedom” (basic historical program) (video sample)
  •  “Lincoln as Story-Teller” (video sample)
  • “Lincoln and Thanksgiving”
  • “The Political Lincoln: Honest Abe on Campaigns & Elections” (video sample)
  • “Lincoln on Slavery, Emancipation, and Equality”
  • “Lincoln on Leadership” (video sample)
  • “Lincoln the Lawyer” (video sample)
  • “Lincoln on Literature & the Theatre” (video sample)
  • “Lincoln on Immigration & America’s Place in the World” (video sample)
  • “Lincoln on the Gettysburg Address”
  • “From Obscurity to Greatness: Illinois and Lincoln, 1830 to 1861”
  • “The ‘Lost Speech’: Lincoln’s Greatest Speech Ever?”
  • “Lincoln on Education”
  • “Lincoln on Religion & Spirituality”

I also have programs especially for youth/children, and don’t forget that I also offer programs in Spanish!

Of course, I am still also available for in-person programs to the extent that these are allowed.

Thanks,
Kevin/Abe
