The Magic of Isaiah a Great Success in Kewaunee & Algoma, WIPosted October 13, 2021: Meet Isaiah, of The Magic of Isaiah out of the La Crosse, Wisconsin area. Isaiah has an all new 2022 summer library show entitled Dive Into Reading: Oceans of Possibilities. He has been performing for libraries for the past 15 years, with an all new show every year based on the National theme. This is much more than the average magic show! Every show incorporates books that support the magic. This will get your patrons excited to check out books on the various topics he introduces and performs on. Along with the magic, Isaiah also incorporates light juggling, puppetry and clean family comedy. This year's show, Dive Into Reading: Oceans of Possibilities, will include books such as How I Became a Pirate, Land shark, The Pout Pout Fish and many more. During the show, there will be a fish race with one child against four adults. It's amazing seeing all the audience members involved in this, with nothing more than loud cheering and laughter happening. During the show, the audience members will learn about the importance of reading and how often they should be reading. Isaiah also has a special guest puppet that has an important message to tell all of your guests. There is so much more to talk about with Isaiah's shows and he cant wait for you to be as excited as he is about it. Shows are 45 minutes long and are tailored to all ages, and all shows are guaranteed with a simple agreement and invoice. Isaiah travels anywhere in Wisconsin and offers multiple-show discounts with your own library or libraries within your system. Show prices range from $250 to $450 depending on the location. "I want to thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to your interest in my summer reading show."
Make Your Library Summer Reading Program Unforgettable, Successful, and FunIf you are booking summer shows in your libraries and still need a variety act, consider the Magic Village magic show. Magic, ventriloquism, escapes, comedy, and audience participation are all set around a theme about the job opportunities attempted by Charlie, the ventriloquist dummy. His attempt at being a doctor is demonstrated by the magician sawing an audience volunteer in two. His attempt to be a security guard is demonstrated by audience members locking up the magician in a set of old wooden stocks.
Last year, I worked with more than 55 libraries in 12 states around the country providing virtual SRP shows.
I would love to bring it to your library this year, if you are thinking of doing virtual shows. This is a little preview of the program. Virtual Library Program 2021 from Yasu I on Vimeo.
I incorporate Japanese folktales with origami, and magic tricks. It goes with this year’s library theme “Tails and Tales”. It is a 35-40 minutes program targeting family audiences. And I can do any virtual formats your library likes. (e.g. Live streaming on your FB page, pre-recording, or zoom workshop etc.) I also offer a virtual hands-on origami workshop for teens or adults too.
Please take a look and please let me know if we can work together for the community this summer. Please stay safe, Yasu Ishida Director, Magician and Storyteller http://www.yasutheatre.com/"
Magician Daniel Lusk here. Wow! What a time we are living in. I know that all of your worlds have been turned upside down like ours have. I also know that you all have been doing your best to continue to provide content to your patrons. THANK YOU!
We have been working hard to still provide the world with MAGIC! I hope you all got a chance to see and use our free Covid-19 safety video with Twinky the Rabbit and our magic tricks (below).
We have FINALIZED our new ONLINE SUMMER READING MAGIC SHOW PROGRAMS PACKAGE. We have worked very hard on making sure we are offering the best show and content you can provide to your patrons. We have spent many hours with librarians and other entertainers working out the best way to deliver content to libraries across the country this year. Here is a quick bullet point of what we discovered and what the best program would be . . .
Pint Size Polkas is available for virtual programming this summer, whether you’re looking for a live stream event or something that’s prerecorded and personalized for your patrons. Mike would be glad to take questions and answer them during the course of my presentation. People are often very curious about the accordion and polka music, two important parts of our Wisconsin musical story! For your adult patrons, Pint Size Polkas offers an educational and entertaining program on the History of Polka Music, and would be very happy to answer any questions they might have, as well.
Looking for a fun, musical and magical way to celebrate our universe in 2019? Uncle Mike's music will have your patrons of all ages singing, clapping, and dancing along to such classics as the "Chicken Dance" and "The Happy Wanderer," and learning exciting new songs like "The Flying Machine Polka," all of which tie into 2019's Universe of Stories theme. |
