My name is Alyssa Bohm, a Racine native, I am currently serving as Miss Wisconsin 2019. As a state titleholder, it’s my job to volunteer, make appearances throughout the state and promote my social impact initiative, "Embracing Special Needs, Building Inclusive Communities" which focuses on enhancing the lives of those with disabilities and creating inclusivity within or communities.
I am also a High School Special Education teacher in Racine Unified School District that advocates for students of all abilities. I have also been successful in co-creating two non-profit affiliates; The Sparkle Squad for girls with disabilities to be a part of cheer and dance and the UW-Whitewater Special Olympics College Organization where I spearheaded the first inclusive football camp for Special Olympics WI athletes. I am currently a board member for Special Olympics of Wisconsin and a state ambassador for Special Olympics of Wisconsin’s Unified Champion Schools Program as I travel the state visiting schools in educating students and faculty about how they can become more inclusive!

I am diligently working to fill up my calendar for the remainder of my tenure (ends on August 22nd).  I am available to speak (about my social initiative, perseverance, social media, and a few other topics), sign autographs, mingle, walk in fashion shows, dance, etc. I would love to make an appearance at one of your library summer program days and present my Inclusion Program: Teaching Acceptance and Kindness. I can also assist in promoting the program event prior to the event taking place on our social media platforms. The Miss Wisconsin Instagram account has nearly 10,000 followers and our Facebook page has more than 6,000 followers. I have attached my Summer Program flyer to this email.

If this is something you're interested in and would like more information about the program I can present you can reach me via email. You can also put in a direct request through our Bookings Manager at the link below! Note, this is a full-time position and there are fees that coincide with my appearance as I am contractually bound as an employee of the Miss Wisconsin Organization. There is a standard $30 booking fee and a fee for an appearance up to four hours.
