 Traveling Lantern has been educating and entertaining children nationwide since 1985. Its mission is to bring great stories to children, to draw them into an active theater experience, to excite their minds and to tickle their imaginations. Traveling Lantern will have six virtual performances available during the 20-21 school year:

In summer 2021 we will be presenting one performance to complement both the CSLP® theme: “Tails and Tales”® and the iREAD® theme: “Reading Colors your World”®
Tale of the Rainbow Lizard Discovering our colorful ancestry Pablo Del Peacock (the famous portrait artist) is trying to paint a picture of beautiful Monique Gecko, but every morning she arrives a different color and he has to begin all over again. He and his friend Fatima Flamingo (taking a break from her Flamenco lessons) search for answers. When they solve the mystery and Pablo learns about Monique’s diverse heritage, he decides to paint his new masterpiece with all the colors of the rainbow. This show will be available both as a LIVE and as a VIRTUAL performance. Virtual keys cost $150, and allow for one week of unlimited viewing for one show. Each virtual key is intended for use by all the children attending one school or served by one library branch (unless you have a very small or very large system, if so please call us, we’ll work it out.) 15 or more schools or library branches booking together qualify for a group discount = $125 each Virtual shows are designed to be usable in all situations, and can fit in with any format you may be planning for: shown to a gathered group, shared on a ZOOM call, and/or emailed to children to watch from home. We hope this helps you provide inexpensive, quality programming and makes it easy for you to adjust your plans as needed. Live shows cost $495. Two shows same day get 10% off, making them $445.50 each. Three shows same day cost $395.00. These discounts can be shared by neighboring venues. Please contact us if you have questions.
