Subscribe to the NFLS News The Algoma Public Library partnered with local organizations to hold a Petting Zoo on its library lawn on June 30th. Ebert Enterprises, a family-owned farm and employer from Algoma, participated by bringing a cow and a couple of day-old calves. Wilson's Wish, a non-profit animal sanctuary, brought in a mini pony and a goat. "We had so much fun; thank you for having us!" said one Wilson's Wish representative. "We look forward to bringing Lily for story time in August as well!" The petting zoo was a great success, being attended by more than 200 adults and children! Library staff offered "A HUGE thanks to Ebert Enterprises and Wilson's Wish for bringing these wonderful critters! Not only were attendees excited, but our staff was too!"
