Brown County East Branch Library, 2253 Main Street, Green Bay, will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to launch the JobPod pilot site on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. JobPod facilitates easy and reliable access to job search resources for employment seekers by merging community library spaces with the expertise of workforce development professionals.
Formed under a partnership with the Bay Area Workforce Development Board, Brown County Library, Nicolet Federated Library System, and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, JobPod enables community members to access a full range of job services through their public library. Serving as a pilot location, Brown County Library-East Branch is the first JobPod access point for job seekers in our area. A groundbreaking approach, JobPod ensures employment seekers will have reliable and consistent access to resources for employment training and development, job search assistance, and well-matched employment opportunities. Just by visiting their local library, community members will gain access to workforce development experts via a virtual connection. JobPod breaks down barriers such as transportation and internet availability, clearing the way for job seekers to connect with job search services frequently and with confidence. Job seekers visiting the Brown County Library-East Branch’s JobPod will experience the library as a dependable bridge between the job seeker, job search experts, and employers.
