New Director at Algoma

Please welcome Cathy Kolbeck as the Algoma Library Director!

Cathy has worked at the Algoma Public Library as the Children’s Librarian since November 2015. In May 2017, she accepted the position as Algoma Library Director.

Cathy wanted to become the director because she loves the Algoma patrons, people, and library. Being the Children’s Librarian and being familiar with the library has been a big help in her new position.

Before working at the library, she was an in-home daycare provider. She is married with two girls and has lived in Algoma for sixteen years. The family also has two rescue dogs, who they adopted. Cathy’s hobbies include walking on the beach, looking for sea glass, and going camping with her family in their new camper.
